Check out my new shoes... aren't they beautiful?
WELL, LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING BECAUSE THEY ARE THE DEVIL.
I got these beauties yesterday. I'd seen them on the Topshop website a while ago, but they weren't really a necessity, plus they are blue and I don't really wear blue thing other than denim (little piece of useless information for you there), anyhow, when frantically shopping for birthday outfit #1 on my lunch break I saw these sitting next to something that I was buying (You'll see next week) and I went giddy. Pastel? Yep, my size? Yep, money off? YEP. SOLD. Surprisingly, I left without them and then thought about them all through the rest of my shift. It was a sign. So, after work I went straight to Topshop and made them mine.
As I told you the other day, I was going out in Birmingham with my cousin last night (so hungover it's not even funny) and as I was getting ready the 5 year old inside of me decided that I would wear my 'Birthday shoes' early to 'wear them in'.
It was downhill from there.
After a 5 minute walk through The Mailbox it felt like my right foot was being mauled by a shark. I spent the next 6 hours drinking cosmopolitans and other Vodka based beverages to try and numb the pain (AHEM) whilst in my head saying 'you fucking bastards' then looking down and going 'ohh I love you'.
Never in my life have I been so excited to get a shoe off my foot, nor had such a love hate relationship with one.
As a result I plan on wearing these shoes for the next 4 days whenever possible with bed socks in an attempt to increase my tolerance and try and stretch them a little.
urgh. WISH ME LUCK.
In addition to this purchase I also got this little white number from Topshop. Luckily we have a different relationship; the fabric is divine, the drape is fantastic, the cut is lovely and it was only £14. I'm thinking of nipping back and getting a lilac one too. Another pastel item? Me? NAHHH...
