Ways to wear: A splash of yellow

"Hey! I posted a picture of a top on the your last post, it's yellow & white from topshop! I bought it a week ago & I'm so totally stuck as to what to wear it with :( plz help! xxx"

Ive gone for 3 very different looks here, all for a smart/casual look, as I think this is where this top will work best. I hope you like them!

Outfit 1. This outfit is inspired by the big colour blocking trend that's massive this S/S. I've chosen neutral colours for the outwear, shoes and bag to balance the strong colours of the top and jeans, making it a little more wearable. The blue in the ring just adds a cheeky extra splash of colour!

Outfit 2. For this outfit, I have chosen a colour pop of red to work alongside the yellow, as red and yellow go beautifully together, especially for the upcoming season. I've also gone for a stripe on the jacket as it's another key trend this S/S however I chose monochrome to stop it looking a little too fussy. This outfit could be teamed with a pair of heels for more of an evening look.

Outfit 3. Finally, for this outfit, I went for a really laid back look, perfect for a sunny spring day. Muted tones like the caramel and grey look great with yellow and really tone it down. making it more relaxede. I have chosen a blazer to pull the whole look together and the grey shoes to match the jacket to keep it all  balanced. This outfit again could be worn with some red lipstick and heels for a 'drinks with the girls' outfit.

Yellow top: Topshop.
1. Pink skinny jeans: ASOS, Nude jacket: Zara, grey bag & nude heels: ASOS, ring: YSL.
2. Striped jacket: H&M, Leggings: Miss Selfridge, Leopard flats: Office, Red bag:
3. Grey blazer, Ankle grazers & handbag: Topshop, Ballet flats: French Sole @ Topshop.

  1. I LOVE your ways to wear post :)
My fave outfit is the one on the right! I'm meant to be saving up right now but I really want to go and buy that whole outfit :P
Could you do a ways to wear sheer shirts post please?

  2. The pink skinnies are amazing! I love this post :) x

  3. Pink and yellow really don't match...

  4. They are not meant to match, they are meant to contrast. That's the point of the trend.
I think I trust Jil Sander, Christopher Kane, Tommy Hilfiger and Dior a little more than you. Thanks for the input though.X

  5. i love those outfits, might just have to go and buy that shirt and striped cute!
