What sort of things in the sales should i be buying for autum and winter?

Nothing summery! Avoid small florals, flat glads and summery acid/fluorescent shades.
Autumn/Winter will have quite a lady like tone, and so keep that in mind.
Simple cuts, shapes and colours, allow the garment to be versatile and more wearable.
A good print for accessories and smaller pieces is leopard- think medium sized spots in ruby reds, jewel green and regular sand/brown. These can be used as colour/print pops.
Chunky black/muted coloured sandals can be worn next season with thick, ribbed tights and socks.
Topshop have some grey, khaki and rose tones in their sales which can be applied to your A/W wardrobe.
& Zara had a nice little selection of trenches and coats in their sale that are definitely worth getting in for the colder months ahead!
